3rd & 4th Grade "Super Savers"
The name of the 3rd and 4th Grade house is Super Savers. We believe that if a student begins saving at an early age, they will be super savers by the time they graduate. In Super Savers, we are a community. We work together and support each other - teachers and students alike. In 3rd and 4th grades, responsibility, independence and leadership are stressed. Reading, Math, and Language Arts skills are mastered and then extended using various resources and materials. Computers are a part of our daily instruction.

I believe in challenging each student to reach beyond his/her potential.
Adrienne Fluker - I have been teaching 11 years, 7 of which have been at BEAM. I have Professional licenses for 1-8th grade, 1-9 grade social studies/history and social work. My favorite quote is, "they may forget what you said but they will never forget how you made them feel," Carol Buchner. When not in school I practice Kempo Goju Karate and I love to read.
Sandra Johnson - I have three years subbing experience, which has given me a lot of great knowledge and experience working with all grades and subject areas. This is my first year at BEAM. I got my teaching degree in St. Petersburg, Florida and have my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education. I am licensed to teach PreK-5th grades. My two favorite quotes are by Maya Angelou, "When you learn, teach; when you get, give." "I can be changed by what happens to me. But I refuse to be reduced by it." When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time with my family, camping, bowling, and exercising.
Angela Steenwyk - This is my 20th year teaching, but my 5th year at BEAM. I have a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education and am working on my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. Outside of BEAM, I like to read, go for hikes, and enjoy my daughters' activities.

I received my teaching degree from Alverno College. My license covers grades 1 to 8. My favorite quote comes from my best friend, "What comes from the heart touches the heart."
